A dedication of time toward practices that tune us into the wisdom of the body to restore clarity, creativity and ease. Slow nervous system-led movements, creative expression, mindful eating and collective learning while prioritzing individual time, practicing silence and connecting to the land.

What makes it slow?

Slow implies no phones—taking a break from the virtual world gives space to tune into our inner worlds and the natural world around us. It allows for new ways of thinking. Film cameras, digital cameras, and other analog devices welcome. Slow implies slow, mindful eating— each meal will be freshly made from the land from plant-based local food.

Our intention with this retreat is to create a space for us to slow down and be in nature, to tune into the widom of the body. This is a space to explore your own expression, nourish yourself, find joy in the simple and soften into being.

Meet Your Hosts

Hello! It's so lovely to have you be here. Since this is your first glance at the team behind The Forest Within, we would love to help you put faces to the people who will be your facilitators through the retreat. A truly diverse, global group, we bring multi-cultural practices, lived experiences and intentional nuances that will allow you the space to expand in the time you spend with us.

Your hosts range from local to international practitioners with experience in somatic practices, space holding, movement, documentation, community building, exploration, local diversity inclusion and much more.

In the time you spend with us, we hope to give you an experience that helps you connect not just to your heart,

but also to the collective of strangers turning into community.
